Super quick dhal! Traditionally this dish takes hours to make because you have to cook and then blend the lentils. Just like we did for the falafel, we have taken the faff out of it so now lack of time won’t get in the way of you and deliciousness!
You need: 1 tsp oil, 75g tomatoes, water to taste per person
Fry the whole spices in oil to release flavours, and tomatoes then water and the kit. Bring to the boil for 10 minutes then simmer for 20 minutes. Serve with rice or as an accompaniment to curry and naan.
Pimp it up:
– garnish with a sprinkling of fresh coriander leaves
– add final chopped veg of your choice
– add a fresh green chilli
